Domain Names
The first step of getting your own online presence is to choose the name of your URL, like www.companyname.com, this is called the domain name. You can do this at a domain registrar. The domain registrar helps you with acquiring the domain name and you basically pay a yearly “rental” fee in order to make sure that you can keep using that domain name.

Some companies offer domain name registration on behalf of the client, but we find that unethical. The domain name belongs to you, the client, therefore it would be weird if we would register the domain name for you.

Many people are unaware of the fact that having a website and having an online presence are not the same thing. For your website to be visible, you also need website hosting.
