First we show you what type of WordPress Consultation we offer (Advice, Coding and WPML specifically) and then we will explain how we work.
Advice
It can happen that when you start out with WordPress, you have the idea in your head on how your website should look when it is finished, but you are not so sure how to organise all your content or what would be the best way to do it for now and for the future. Especially nowadays there are so many options available; apart from the usual Posts with categories and tags and the hierarchical Pages there are Custom Taxonomies and Custom Post Types and since version 3.1 of WordPress even Post Formats. Plenty of options and certainly also plenty of chance of confusion.

Coding
If you want to make some enhancements to a standard WordPress theme that you downloaded, sooner or later you need to start playing around with the actual code. That isn’t always smooth sailing and sometimes you spend hours and hours looking for a solution, without any useful results.
In such cases it would be awesome if you have someone experienced that can look over your shoulder and point you in the right direction or dive into the code for you to give you a working solution.
It actually can save you a lot of time too and we will always tell you what we did to solve your problem, so the next time it pops up its ugly head, you know what to do! Senlin Online can do the coding of problem areas for you from CNY 500 per hour*.
WPML
One of our specialties is giving websites multilingual functionality. The plugin that enables websites to become 100% multilingual is WPML and not only have we been working with WPML since the beginning, Senlin Online is also one of the WPML Contractors.
Although the support by the plugin developers and on the forums is fantastic, it can happen that for your site you need to find a solution for something that is not entirely main stream.
Especially for those type of problems you can hire us. Of course you can also hire us to install WPML on your website and making it work out of the box. For all WPML related work our rate starts at CNY 600 per hour*.

How do we work?
We like to be clear on how we work, so you will be able to know exactly what you can expect from us and what not.
Especially for the WordPress Coding and WPML related work (you can check our hourly rates above) we first like to do an assessment of the project. This assessment normally takes no more than one hour. The good thing for you as the client is that if during that hour we figure we cannot help you, you don’t have to pay us for our time!
After the assessment we will send you an indication of the time we expect to need to solve your problem(s). Usually we then also ask for a downpayment of half of the total estimated hours and for your convenience this can be paid via PayPal, bank transfer or in cash, all depending on your geographical location.
When you intend to hire us to solve some problems on your website, please keep in mind that we will need (Administrator) access to the backend of your website and ideally also FTP access. If for whatever reason you are unable to give us access, then it will be very difficult for us to help you properly.
For all the work that falls under WordPress Consultation (Advice, Coding and WPML related work) we use a strict payment upon delivery policy and we expect you to accept and respect that.
How can I pay you in CNY?
Good question! The Chinese Yuan is not being traded on the international currency markets, so you won’t be able to transfer it to us. You will however be able to transfer the equivalent in USD, EUR, GBP or any other currency. To find out how much exactly the exchange rate is, we use the currency converter of oanda.com and as we are not two banks doing business on an inter-banking level, we typically use the kiosk rate.
